Best vacation tour we have ever experienced!
“We started our long weekend in Nantucket with a tour from Hugh. It actually turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Hugh is such a good story teller and knows the history of Nantucket so well. What a great way to get the lay if the land at the beginning of your stay. Of all the vacation tours we have ever taken Hugh’s tour ranks at the top of our list.“

Definitely a 5 star tour with Hugh Lloyd-Thomas! Highlight of our trip!
“Hugh was highly recommended to us by our hotel concierge about 6 months ago before our tour this am. We met in the hotel lobby and we first sat down for a few minutes to learn some brief facts and very interesting history of the island. Our tour then incorporated both driving (in Hugh’s immaculate SUV) around the island and walking around the downtown area to view and learn about many wonderful sights. Hugh is a masterful storyteller and tour guide. We loved every bit of our 3.5 hours together. It was fun to learn about the stories of the different mansions and buildings along the tour. Loved driving out to Siasconset and the Sankaty Light house Before he dropped us off, Hugh recommended a wonderful lunch spot and the best store to get the best Nantucket souvenirs. We wanted to have Hugh join us for lunch, but he was unable as he had another tour booked after We would recommend Hugh Lloyd-Thomas to anyone who wants a thorough, interesting fact finding amusing tour of the island!!“

Fabulous Tour, Fantastic Tour Guide!
“We were planning a family vacation and I contacted Hugh Lloyd-Thomas for info about an island tour. He was prompt/quick to respond and from our communications I could tell we were in for a fun afternoon! Hugh picked us up at our hotel and began with some informative Nantucket history. As we jumped into his car his insights continued, always woven into interesting stories, He’s a terrific storyteller!
We loved our drive through Sconset, our stop at the Sankaty Lighthouse and the Old Mill. We even squeezed in a visit to the Island Kitchen for some ice cream! (it’s as good as they say!)
Our tour ended back at the hotel, but now we were loaded with Nantucket history and wonderful island memories! Hugh is one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. For a truly delightful afternoon I highly recommend Discover Nantucket Tours with Hugh Lloyd-Thomas!”

The Best Tour of Nantucket
“Our bike tour with Discover Nantucket Tours was incredible. We only had one day to explore the island, and Hugh helped to make it a memorable experience for us. He took us to many of the sites around town and shared some of the fascinating history of the places we visited. He also took photos of us at many of the locations which was a big bonus for us. It was a hot, humid day but luckily the trip was mostly flat and the bikes are in new condition with gearing to help us up the few hills we did encounter. If you visit Nantucket, you have to do a tour with Hugh!“

Outstanding tour of Nantucket!
“On Thursday, July 21, 2022 we visited Nantucket for the day. In advance, we arranged a four hour private tour with Hugh Lloyd-Thomas. The tour of Nantucket was outstanding! Hugh possesses a wealth of knowledge about the island. From the history of the island to current day Nantucket, Hugh provided a fascinating and informative tour. Hugh is knowledgeable and personable with a great sense of humor. We highly recommend a tour of Nantucket with Hugh Lloyd-Thomas.“
